Owners' Clubs

Ever since we set up Just Kampers back in 1989, and well before then, VW Owners’ Clubs have been part of the lifeblood of the VW community.

Like an extended family of people you can rely on for help, advice and fun, Owners’ Clubs haven’t become any less important to the scene in the age of social media and instant communication.

We want this space to act as a platform for VW Owners’ Clubs, to help them grow and expand and spread, and help more people enjoy what they have to offer.

Here’s three great reasons to list your Club on our site, for free:

• It’s free promotion for your club or forum to a large, interested audience,
• It’s an opportunity to be seen by the 10,000s of people who visit www.justkampers.com every month
• You can personalise your page with logos, events, meeting times and news - all for free!

  • Historic VW Club

The Historic Volkswagen Club was founded in 1974 by a group of enthusiasts, including the current President, whose principal interests lay with the earliest beetles, or ""split window"" models. Gradually the club has grown and developed, so that now the objectives are to cater for all enthusiasts, not necessarily owners, of Volkswagen Type 1 models built prior to the end of European Production in 1979, to offer advice on the restoration, maintenance and preservation of such vehicles and to liaise with overseas clubs that have the same objectives. The Historic Volkswagen Club is a national club with members coming from most parts of the country and it is the only body to cater exclusively for early Volkswagen's in Britain. In addition it welcomes members from overseas and has contacts with enthusiasts world wide.

  • AMICS DEL VOLKSWAGEN DE CATALUNYA

Friends because in their origin the founders of this club were a group of friends who had a common passion: their VW Beetles, this is how the Volkswagen Amigos de Barcelona was founded in 1983 as the first name of the Friends of the Volkswagen of Catalonia since almost all of their members were from Barcelona. With great tenacity and enthusiasm, they assembled in 114 cities in the first volkswagen concentration known in our country on October 2, 1983 ... this is where our story began. This is the essence that has remained since then, we are a large group of people of all ages and conditions, united by the same passion but we are very clear that in front of vehicles there are always people. To be a part you don't have to have the perfect car or the oldest car, or be the best at all, just have a Beetle or one of its many derivatives and, above all, be in a good mood and want to have fun. well, because it is the members who make sense of the club. Catalonia because it is our area of action. We have partners spread throughout Catalonia (and also outside of it), within our four provinces and also across the Pyrenees, in Northern Catalonia. For this reason, when we travel, wherever we go we always try to make it clear who we are and where we come from, especially if we are out of our country.

  • The Split Screen Van Club

The Split Screen Van Club was founded in 1983 at Stanford Hall, since then the club has grown into a national club with about 800 UK and Overseas members. We attend numerous shows each year and organize The Brighton Breeze, a VW based London to Brighton run which includes a show day on the seafront and camping at each end. Held each October, this has been a well-established event on the VW calendar for the last 22 years. We also hold our annual rally at Victoria Farm each May Bank Holiday. This is a real family event with free activities for the kids, go carts and bouncy castles last year. But the biggest highlight of the weekend is the convoy to the Stanford Hall VW show about 10 miles away. It’s hard to describe what being part of a 200 strong split screen convoy is like, but your passenger needs to be armed with a camera ready to capture it. Even some of the locals come out to wave us on. Every member receives the club magazine, 64 pages in full colour and printed quarterly, the magazine is written by the members, stories of road trips, technical articles, restorations and show reports make for a varied and enjoyable read. As well as discounts with several VW parts suppliers, club members can get help registering an imported van and gaining an age-related plate. At a small additional cost, members can also make use of the valuation service recognised by all the insurance companies. The club welcomes all VW Split Screens in whatever state of repair and wherever it was built, we have everything from early German concourse winners to ratty Brazilian panel vans with nothing but a surf board in the back. Owning a split is not a prerequisite to joining though, those looking to buy or even those just interested and want to know more about what it’s like to live with one of these quirky old vehicles are also welcome.

  • AirSouls

A group of air-cooled enthusiasts who also appreciate interesting vehicles, be it old school Rods, Bikes, Yank tanks and anything else vintage and different . We attend shows in the UK and Europe that focus on the air-cooled and hotrod scene, we also like to organise informal camp outs with like minded people (those who like a drink and a laugh). In short, we don't take ourselves too seriously and we like vehicles that have had a bit of effort and thought put into them. Elitist? Aircooled Snobs? Clique? Bunch of idiots? Probably... But then again we don't care!
